6th song from the debut KiNo album MAP OF THE UNIVERSE.
.
I can see in the kingdom of the blind,
what’s the word in the realm of deaf,
the dumb stared too long at the distant sun
thinking it’s the sky
I can see in the kingdom of the poor,
who is in the act of stealing brains?
the dumb states too much
at the cinema of the bourgeois.
Quit order, everybody, quit or die!
Buy and sell, everybody’s worth a penny, baby
They love this life long drama.
They want that life long drama.
I can see in the kingdom of the blind,
what’s the word in the realm of deaf?
the dumb stared too long at the distant sun
thinking it’s the sky.
Deep down inside everybody lacks a heart,
Bought and sold, everybody’s worthless pile of bones,
They love this life long drama.
They love that life long drama.
Quit order, everybody, quit order!
Buy and sell, everybody’s worth a penny, baby?
They love this life long drama.
They love that life like drama.
And in the end,
we all went down to the land beneath the sand
for a return to eternity
that’s the end, beneath the sand.
SONG EXPLANATION:
It’s about death in two ways. Firstly, it refers to the state of fascistic, ignorant, parasitical, idiotic world of entertainment that turns people into deaf, dumb and blind; effectively killing their critical awareness by blighting the potential of the mediums of expression and information such as cinema, music and literature. Secondly, Dancing with a Rocket makes a reference to the phenomenon of death literally. Death as a beginning rather than the end, which stops all worldly indulgence, the temporal and the insignificant. Rocket symbolises the heart of the one who is aware, rising forth to eternity.
